Cashzuma Slot Review

General about this slot

Cashzuma slot is a Maya-themed game with an unusual layout and some interesting features. It is produced by the CORE Gaming company, which is not very popular. However, it has given birth to some simple, decent slot games like Egyptian Queen, Frog of Fortune, or Galactic Strike.

Cashzuma (And The Tomb of Wonga) is a high-volatile game with six reels and four lines. It has an unusual number of possible combinations. 4096 winning lines are built with the symbols staying on adjacent reels. The symbols might not be adjacent to each other. Additional symbols on the same column contribute to the payline, giving it a multiplier.

The game is a reference to Mayan (and Aztec) culture and architecture. The design of the game supports the main theme partially. The game table, symbols, logo, and mascot belong to Mayan culture, while all the stats, words, and controls are machine-like.

The game can be characterized with the 96% RTP ratio. It is slightly more than the average market rate. The volatility ratio of the game is between medium and high. It means it is likely to demand much for big awards. In general, the winning combination appears in every ten-fifteen spins.

How to play this slot

To win in the Cashzuma slot online, you must assemble a combination of similar symbols situated on adjacent reels. It is important that the consequent reels contain the characters. The winning line might not begin from the left reel only. It must consist of three symbols minimally (read about the exception further). The number of the lines is constant and cannot be changed via controls. The only option to change the bet is getting the exact amount of spin price.

Unlike the other games, Cashzuma does not exchange money for coins. When you play demo, the game gives you virtual cash. The bet size varies from $0.20 to $10 per single round. It uploads the balance of the casino and shows it in the bottom-left corner. The Total Win window shows the award for the last spin. It is called total because several combinations can be paid during a single round.

To start a game, press a big green button with the corresponding sign. The game allows setting automatic spins. A player can select the stake size for the automatic session, set the limit of spins (from five to a hundred), indicate the maximal loss available (from $700 to $35) and limit a single win (from $35 to $3500). In other cases, the automatic session stops when the game is closed, or a bankroll is not enough to make another stake. The Menu sign triggers the appearance of the paytable. There, you can learn the rules and prizes for the combinations (they change depending on the bet). The only option available is muting the sounds. Also, there is a Home button that kicks a player back to the casino lobby.

Symbols and soundtrack

Cashzuma slots symbols can be divided into standard and special. Last ones do not form paylines, but activate bonuses and hold game features. For instance, a Wild tile (a symbol with the word Wild made of rock) substitutes every standard tile. It cannot substitute the Bonus character. During the bonus mode, two permanent Wilds can appear on the middle reels.

The Bonus or Scatter symbol (golden and red Bonus word) activates the bonus mode. It can appear on every tile. During the mode, other Scatter tiles reactivate the bonus. The different number of Bonus characters gives the different number of free attempts. Ten standard tiles exist. They form winning combinations and have different prizes for the lines. Here they are:

  • The mascot Eagle Warrior is the most expensive tile (up to $500 for the maximal combination). It is the only tile that can form a combination from just two adjacent symbols.
  • A Diamond gives $75 maximally.
  • Emerald and Ruby stones give $20 for the maximal combination. However, minor Emerald combos are twice more expensive than Ruby ones.
  • A and K playing card symbols are equal and get winners up to $17.50.
  • Q tile is slightly cheaper. It will bring you up to $10.
  • J gives $10 for the maximal line as well. Its shorter combinations are cheaper.
  • Finally, 10 and 9 are the cheapest symbols. They cost $9 and $8 for the maximal combinations, correspondingly.

The soundtrack of the game justifies the Ancient Mayan theme. You will hear traditional melodies of ancient tribes in the background. All the effects are sounded as well. Reels spin with a quiet, rock-like murmur. All clicks and buttons do not feel like slot machine sounds. The game soundtrack is not the greatest you can ever hear. However, it is decent and does not spoil the atmosphere of the game.

Bonus options

Cashzuma slot machine has several bonus options. Two main bonuses are activated when three Scatters appear on the game table. A player can choose from Multiplying Spirits and Lunar Eclipse modes. Both regimes imply free spins, but differ in features. Multiplying Spirits give from ten to twenty free rounds. Every combination gathered during this regime increases the total win multiplier. Lunar Eclipse gives from 12 to 24 rounds (the number depends on the number of Scatter symbols that appeared on the screen). During these rounds, sticky Wild symbols will be present on the middle reels. Both modes can be reactivated with another portion of Scatter (Bonus) characters.

Besides the bonus modes, the slot machine has an additional feature of cascading symbols. It means that every winning combination disappears from the game table, making the upper characters fall down. It gives more chances for other winning combinations. All the combinations that appear simultaneously are paid. The game does not have any mini-games (jackpot wheel, gamble) or special modes that can change the symbols. It does not show any signs of the progressive jackpot slot as well. However, the maximal reward for a single spin equals an outstanding $2,500,000.

Pros and cons of the slot

It is interesting to play both Cashzuma slot demo and real-money games. The slot has some obvious ups and downs. However, it is advisable to try it to be confident that a game fits your gambling strategy and expectations.

  • The design and soundtrack of the game create a good atmosphere and feeling of immersion.
  • The unusual layout and payline combination principles will be interesting for everyone.
  • Free spin bonuses are generous and let you win big awards.
  • Cascading symbols are a pleasant addition to this unusual video slot.

  • The game is of medium-high volatility, which does not let it be for every gambler.
  • At the same time, the bet range from $0.20 to $10 is not enough for big spenders.
  • The game lacks featured controls and options.

Cashzuma is not the masterpiece by CORE Gaming. However, it is a well-built game with interesting gameplay options. It will not become a usual game of yours, but you should try it. It is better to get acquainted with it only when you are familiar with the main gambling strategies and rules.
